Business | Unique Book Queen
After hours of cleaning up my website, and emails to and and from my hosting provider I think we can safely say we are back up and running again. We have had a hacker creating 11,000 spam posts to delete. A job I could have done without. This website, when left alone by these people, should run itself. If you notice any more links to footwear pages, please, please let me know.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused to those searching for books. I would have tended to it sooner, but I have lost both my parents within the last 7 months. It has been hard, to say the least.
Hopefully things will run smoothly again, and I will be writing some new books soon. The cold, winter months are approaching now, which will be a great time to start writing again. In the meantime, if you would like to start sending in your ideas, please do so via the Contact Us form on my website. Please help me build up my fan base, and good reputation again. Thanks Cindy Wright.

How to Choose a Travel Agent for Your Holiday
When choosing a travel agent for your holiday, you must do
your research. There are so many available on the internet that you really do
not know whom you are dealing with. It can be tricky, as anyone can set up a
travel agency on the internet with just a little knowledge about booking
tickets and holiday destinations. Walking into your local travel agency and
speaking to someone in person is becoming a thing of the past. It is a lot
simpler online, as all you need to do is fill out a form, and send your
payment.
If the travel agent has a good reputation, you will most
likely get a better service. Are you looking for something that fits into your
budget or quality of service? Try not to go too cheap, as this can sometimes
mean poor quality accommodation and service.
Do not choose a travel agent just because it has been in business
for a number of years, as this does not always guarantee that they are the
best. If they have a website, you could go and have a look to see if any comments
haves been posted on it by past customers. This should help you to decide
whether it is the right one for you. If you know someone who has been to your
holiday destination, and who has had a great time, do not forget to ask which
travel agent they used.
When deciding what transport you will need, whether it be plane
or ship, make sure that they have a good reputation, too. If the method of
transportation is not well known they may not be serviced regularly. When you
are going away on holiday, you need to know that you are safe.
Finding the right hotel can just be as tricky. Accepting
what an online website tells you about a particular holiday destination, does
not mean that this is the deal you are getting. The pictures look great, but
when you arrive, there is a noisy building site across the road. Many people
have been through this experience, which is not a good one when you have gone
there to relax and have fun. The internet can be very resourceful. You can
research the hotels that are available, and get up-to-date information about
them, and the area they are set in. If there are comments from travellers that
are not to your liking, try somewhere else.

Beginner’s Gardening Tips
You may have just brought your first property that has a
garden, and you are not sure where to begin. Then read on, because when you
have basic gardening knowledge, you will enjoy your newfound hobby.
The rewards of the gardener are seeing your creation for the
first time. At the beginning, you probably have a jungle to tend with. When the
weeds have gone and you see the first shoots coming up from the ground for the
first time, that’s when you can sit back and admire. Gardening is also a great
form of exercise, and will get you plenty of fresh air, too. Just think about
sitting back on the patio or your new lawn, relaxing with a cool refreshing
drink on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Before you can do this for real, a lot of hard work needs to
be done. Here are a few tips for the beginner gardener. You will need to go
slowly at first. Don’t rush it, even though you can’t wait to see everything
looking colourful. Start small with a project that will not take long to do. If
you can start at one corner of the garden and work your way across, you will
see your progress clearer and quicker. Don’t choose big projects to begin with,
because you will just get frustrated, and you will never get the garden of your
dreams. Even if you only have a small garden, there is still plenty of choice
to getting your garden looking the way you imagine.
If there is a larger project that needs tackling, break it
down into sections and don’t be tempted to do the whole lot in one go. Seeing
your garden appear before your eyes will motivate you to continue on to the
next section.
To begin with do some research on the basics, weed control,
disease, pests, watering and fertilizing.
If your garden is prone to weeds, try putting mulch around
your plant. This will reduce weeds, keep them at the right temperature as well
as control water. To maintain healthy plants they need to be watered longer and
less frequently. At the same time, don’t let them dry out. Water early in the
morning, so that the leaves can dry out during the day. This will help you to
avoid fungal disease.
Once your plants are established, you will need to keep the
pests away. You can make your own pesticide with ingredients from your kitchen.
You will need:
- 1 jar
- 1 spray bottle
- 1 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 tsp of washing up liquid
- 1 cup of water
Put the vegetable oil and washing
up liquid into the jar and shake vigorously. You will then need an empty and
clean spray bottle. Into the spray bottle pour 2 teaspoons of the mixture, and
add the water.
You can use this remedy once every
10 days. If your plants are attracting mites, whitefly, scales, aphids or other
pests, you may have to use it more often.

Helping Your Pets to Stay In Shape and Active
When it is warm outside in the summer months it is easy to
get your pets motivated to exercise. Getting them to move in the winter when it’s
cold is much harder. We all like to stay indoors when it’s cold and wet, but an
inactive pet could mean health problems.
Tips to Help Keep Your Cat Active
Outdoor cats are hunters, and love to bring you presents in
the form of birds, mice or even a rabbit and leave them on the doorstep. These
days, because the roads are busier, and for many other reasons people are
keeping their cats indoors. Keeping them inside does limit their space to
explore and chase around. So, they shouldn’t be left to get lazy.
Cats like people, and many other kinds of animal, like
company. So, if it is possible have at least one more other cat in the family,
any other pet or try not to leave them alone for too long. If you work long
hours, and they will be left for a long time on their own, it may not be the
right time to have a cat. This is not always possible, so if you have to leave
your pet for a few hours, always make time to play with them at least twice a
day. Not only will this be a good bonding exercise, but it will give your four
legged friend exercise, too.
Not all pets, and especially cats, are toy lovers. In any
case, if they are going to be left leave some toys for them to play with in case
they want to. You don’t have to spend a fortune on toys for your cat. If you
are a knitter, you no doubt will have some spare wool around somewhere. If you
don’t have any wool, a piece of thread or even some rope will be just as much
fun.
Cats love to climb, whether they are domesticated or wild.
If you don’t want them climbing all over the furniture, scratching or pulling
threads get them a climbing frame suitable for a cat. These are also excellent
get away places for your cat if there are children or other animals in the
house.
If your cat will play with toys, a good one from experience,
is a rubber ball with a bell in it. They love things that jingle, or make a
noise so this will give your cat hours of fun.
Therefore, you don’t have to worry whether your indoor cat
is getting any exercise or not. Find them items in the house that will keep
them occupied and you are on to a winner.
